Job Responsibilities:
- • Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems for conveyors and material handling equipment.
- • Create 2D drawings and 3D models using design software such as AutoCAD, SolidEdge, SolidWorks, Inventor, or Catia.
- • Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
- • Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials), technical documentation, and design reports.
- • Collaborate with electrical and automation teams for integrated design solutions.
- • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
- • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for fabrication feasibility, costing, and material availability.
- • Support manufacturing, assembly, installation, and commissioning activities.
- • Conduct design reviews, value engineering, and continuous improvements.
- • Provide technical support in resolving design and production-related issues.
Key Skills Required:
- • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
- • Proficiency in SolidWorks / Solid Edge / Inventor / Catia / AutoCAD.
- • Experience in sheet metal design, fabrication, machining, and welding processes.
- • Understanding of conveyor systems, material handling equipment, or special purpose machines (SPMs).
- • Knowledge of design standards and safety compliance.
- • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Qualifications:
- • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- • 2–5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in conveyors, material handling, or manufacturing industry.
